Holtorf Resigns – Brita Horn’s Toxic Leadership Claims Another Officer

Another member of Brita Horn’s State GOP leadership team has resigned.

Richard Holtorf, Vice Chair of the State GOP, has officially stepped down, becoming the eighth member of her team to abandon Brita Horn’s sinking ship.

Those who have resigned under her leadership now include:

• Treasurer
• Vice Chair (#1)
• Chair of Volunteer Training
• Bylaws Committee Member
• Credentials Chair
• Parliamentarian
• Communications Director
• And now Vice Chair Richard Holtorf (#2)

Holtorf stated, “I have found it impossible to work with the Chair.”
This mirrors the same reason repeatedly cited by others who felt forced to walk away.

At what point does Brita Horn take responsibility?

Her continued leadership is actively damaging our party. For the good of Republicans across Colorado, Brita Horn should resign immediately as Chair and put an end to this ongoing destruction.

This latest resignation follows a shocking FEC filing showing the State GOP is $91,000 in the negative – an unprecedented financial crisis.

Even worse, much of the money donated to the State GOP has gone not to candidates, but to:

• Brita Horn’s personal attorney (who is still owed $142,000 and continues to accumulate monthly bills)
• A $25,000 loan she took out to help pay that attorney!!

Grassroots donors expect their contributions to support candidates and win elections – not fund legal bills.
