This shouldn\u2019t be necessary, but after months of officers ignoring membership votes and blocking your rights, there was no other choice.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\n<i><b><u>Here&#8217;s what happened<\/u>:<\/b><\/i><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\n<b>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0<\/b><\/div>\n<div><b>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0September 27, 2025 &#8211; You Voted to Fire Brita\u2019s Personal Attorney:<\/b><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>At our CRC meeting, a\u00a0majority of the body voted to terminate Steven Klenda as party counsel due to conflicts of interest.\u00a0<i>The vote passed. Chair Horn announced, &#8220;it passes.&#8221;<\/i><b>\u00a0\u00a0<\/b><i><u>It&#8217;s on video &#8211; click this link:<\/u> \u00a0<\/i><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/live\/0USAfGM2_Jk?t=17957s\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/live\/0USAfGM2_Jk?t%3D17957s&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1769649013412000&amp;usg=AOvVaw3ep_Ve8HZ457g4kcY6vlIj\">https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/<wbr \/>live\/0USAfGM2_Jk?t=17957s<\/a><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\n<b>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0<\/b><\/div>\n<div><b>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0What Happened Next &#8211; Officers Ignored Your Vote:<\/b><\/div>\n<div><b><br \/>\n<\/b>For four months now, Horn, and with the Party Treasurer, have continued paying Klenda using YOUR donations \u2014 money you gave to elect Republicans, not to pay a fired lawyer. Klenda keeps billing. They keep paying him. Your vote meant nothing to them.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\n<b>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0<\/b><\/div>\n<div><b>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0137 of You Signed a Petition &#8211; They Blocked It:<\/b><\/div>\n<div><b><br \/>\n<\/b>When 137 members (over 25% of us) signed a petition for a special meeting, officers changed the rules AFTER we collected signatures to invalidate them. They retroactively demanded requirements that didn&#8217;t exist when we started. When I appealed, they&#8217;ve refused to schedule the appeal.\u00a0\u00a0<i><u>It\u2019s been 8 weeks since appealing and Chair Horn continues to ignore it<\/u>.<\/i><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\n<b>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0<\/b><\/div>\n<div><b>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Right Now, Today &#8211; Horn Defies You Again:<\/b><\/div>\n<div><b><br \/>\n<\/b>Question #3 of our special meeting petition specifically asked Chair Horn to stop pursuing sanctions against members in El Paso County Case 2025CV30292. She&#8217;s doing it anyway,\u00a0<i><u>using party money<\/u>,<\/i>\u00a0despite 137 of you requesting a\u00a0<i><u>meeting\/vote to stop it<\/u>.<\/i><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><b>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0<\/b><\/div>\n<div><b>The Pattern is Clear:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Members vote \u2192\u00a0Officers ignore<\/li>\n<li>Members petition \u2192\u00a0Officers obstruct<\/li>\n<li>Members appeal \u2192\u00a0Officers delay<\/li>\n<li>Members donate \u2192\u00a0Officers waste on unauthorized lawyers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b><\/b><\/div>\n<div><b>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0<\/b><\/div>\n<div><b>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0What I&#8217;m Asking the Court to Do:<\/b><\/div>\n<div>I&#8217;m not asking courts to run our party.\u00a0 <i><u>I&#8217;m asking them to enforce what WE already decided<\/u><\/i>:<\/div>\n<div>\n<ol>\n<li><i>Stop paying the lawyer we fired<\/i><\/li>\n<li><i>Schedule my appeal that bylaws guarantee<\/i><\/li>\n<li><i>Honor the petition 137 members signed<\/i><\/li>\n<li><i>Account for where our money went<\/i><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><b>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 <\/b><b>This Isn&#8217;t About Politics \u2014 It&#8217;s About Your Rights:<\/b><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Some will try to make this about factions or personalities.\u00a0 <u><i>It&#8217;s not.<\/i><\/u>\u00a0 It&#8217;s about whether 137 members matter.\u00a0\u00a0<i><u>Whether your voices count<\/u>.\u00a0\u00a0<u>Whether officers can ignore you with impunity<\/u>.<\/i><\/div>\n<div>\nIf officers can ignore a membership vote to fire an attorney, they can ignore any vote.\u00a0 If they can retroactively change petition rules to defeat a 137-name petition, they can defeat any petition.\u00a0 If they can block appeals for 8+ weeks, appeals mean nothing.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\n<b>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0<\/b><\/div>\n<div><b>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0The Cost of Doing Nothing:<\/b><\/div>\n<div><b><br \/>\n<\/b>Every month officers keep paying Klenda, that&#8217;s money that could elect Republicans in 2026. Every day they block accountability, they become more brazen. If we don&#8217;t stand up for member rights now, we&#8217;ll have no rights left to stand up for.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><b>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0<\/b><\/div>\n<div><b>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0I Didn&#8217;t Want This Fight:<\/b><\/div>\n<div><b><br \/>\n<\/b>I tried working within the system:<\/div>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>Filed the appeal (ignored for 8+ weeks)<\/li>\n<li>Followed the petition process (rules changed retroactively)<\/li>\n<li>Attended meetings (votes ignored)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>When officers refuse to follow their own bylaws, when they defy clear membership votes, when they waste your donations on unauthorized lawyers \u2014 somebody has to stand up. The 137 petition members who added their name to the petition stood up. I&#8217;m standing with them.<\/p><\/div>\n<div><b>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0<\/b><\/div>\n<div><b>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0You Deserve Better:<\/b><\/div>\n<div><b><br \/>\n<\/b>You deserve officers who respect your votes, honor your petition rights, and use your donations for their intended purpose \u2014 electing Republicans, not paying fired lawyers.<\/div>\n<div>\n<i><u>The lawsuit simply asks courts to enforce what you already decided.
